Privacy Policy

We ask for as little as possible, we tell you plainly what we do with it, and we never sell it. This policy explains how we handle your personal information under POPIA.

Last updated: 10 August 2026

1. Who is responsible

Kingdom Scribe Publishing is the responsible party for your personal information as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

  • Information Officer: Lesiba J. Rashokeng
  • Physical address:
  • Email:

2. What we collect, and why

3. What we do not collect

We never see or store your card, bank or payment details. Payment is handled entirely on Payfast's secure platform. We also do not collect special personal information, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

4. How we use it

We use your information only for the purpose you gave it to us: fulfilling orders, delivering resources you asked for, replying to you, and — if you opted in — sending occasional news about new titles and free material. We do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only where necessary to do what you asked:

  • Payfast — to process your payment securely
  • Our hosting provider — the servers on which this site and your order records run
  • Courier or postal services — the delivery address, so your book can reach you
  • Authorities — only where the law requires it

6. Where it is kept, and for how long

Order, enquiry and submission records are stored on our hosting account in South Africa, in files that are not publicly accessible. We keep order records for as long as required by tax and accounting law (generally five years), and reader-list details until you unsubscribe. Manuscript submissions are kept only as long as needed to assess and respond to them.

7. Keeping it safe

This site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Order and subscriber files are blocked from public web access at server level, and access to our systems is restricted to those who need it. No system is perfect, but if a breach ever affected your information, we would notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.

8. Cookies and tracking

This website uses no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking or analytics. Your basket is stored locally in your own browser and never leaves your device until you place an order. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may log a standard web request.

9. Your rights

Under POPIA you may, at any time:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct or update it
  • ask us to delete it, where we are not legally required to keep it
  • object to how we use it, or withdraw consent
  • unsubscribe from any email, using the link in that email
  • complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa

To exercise any of these, email . We respond within a reasonable time, and at no charge.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date above.
